Wondering what parts I need to convert to points ignition

The 67 model was easy to retrofit to the 1966 style distributor.----But answer this.----Is there a cam ground onto your 1968 crankshaft to operate breaker points ?

Not that I have seen. I inherited this motor and the trigger is burnt up. Didn't know if it even could be converted to points.

That's why I gave a wise-guy answer. You would have to replace the crankshaft to get a breaker cam. Then a breaker plate and two sets of $$$$points and a coil and condenser and-----

Have you looked for a replacement trigger ?

I'd probably part the motor out and get something newer. JMO.

Want to keep motor and use it. Replacement trigger is expensive so I will keep looking for a used one. Thanks for the info

I trust that you have established that the trigger is bad? I've never seen a bad one, but I haven't seen them all.

Yes, it's burnt. Not sure how it's was done, like I said I inherited it. Probably gonna need a pulse pack too.
