"My father has a 11 foot Chrysler boat with a 45 HP Chrysler motor. He paid $1500 for it in 1969! Anyways it shifts into nuetral and Forward, but does not go into reverse. I tried the adjustment nuts between the covers and could not gain enough travel to get forward and reverse. It seems the linkage is worn and the bushings need to be replaced for the dowel that holds the link that connects the shift cable to the shift shaft that goes to the lower unit. Is there anywhere that I can get one of these brackets or bushings so that my dad can take his boat out again with out having to oar it backwards (He is 80 years old.) Thanks."
