1967 hp fastwin need help!!

So I am new to this motor and boating all togther, I just bought a 1967 fastwin for my 14 ft jon boat. I have two questions, I read the manual that came with it and it says something about regular motor oil, I dont think that is the oil you add to your gas but I never seen anything about any other oil, so what type of oil do I need?? and my second question is how do you pop of the cover to get into the motow capartment, so I can get in there a lube up the points?? Like I said I am new to all this and would love any-one input lord knows I need help. Thanks Shawn
 
The manual is refering to using regluar motor oil in the gas mix as 2 cycle oil was fairly new at the time the motor was made and hard to find in some locations. As for the cowl latch look on the rear of the motor under the cowl (hood) and will need to be pulled down on one end so the rear of the cowl(hood) can be lifted and tilted forward and removed from a small keeper on the front. As for the points they should never be any oil, or anything that could fly off , put on them. It will cause more problems than you can think of.
