1967 Evenrude 9.5 ?

Starts good and runs fine thru all power ranges for 15 min then dies and won't restart. Row back time !
Vent on tank is open.
Bulb is not crushed.
Water still squirting out hole.
Is there something that is prone to fail on this old engine?
Any ideas what to check next?

Fuel Filter? Fuel connector o-rings? When it won't restart is there spark??? Does a single shot of ether help??? Does squeezing the primer bulb help???
 
When it dies do you have spark on both cylinders? Check this first.

If you do, then it's a fuel issue.

Do you smell excess fuel when you try to restart after it dies?

Also check for any small fuel line leaks from the disconnect to the carb. You could be sucking air into the fuel path.

This is for an old guy that is on SS. He does not have a computer. So I have fed him this info and will reply back with test results asap. Might be a while.
