Currently no problems with the

Currently no problems with the outboard it is producing 18 volts is there any way to cut that voltage down and not harm the motor or componenets. I would like to get that down to 12 volts if possible. Any help would be appreciated.

"I have the 850 thunderbolt and it produces 14.2 volts. Charge is produced by a stator and rectifier - there's no adjustments. I don't see why you couldn't fit an automotive regulator to yours to bring the volts back to safe levels for the battery, but sounds like you've got probs with the stator."
