OK well here we go. OK well I just got my motor running good low speed and high and just had starter rebuilt but I tried to crank it today and the starter acted like it couldn't turn the flywheel . its tough but flywheel will turn with pull cord and getting spark and all . i can't tell if starter just isn't kicking up all the way to spin flywheel BC it will hit flywheel but then go back down still spinning or if something else is wrong I dont know exactly what the symptoms of a bad picifter are. Any ideas?

Pull all your grounds apart and sand metal to metal. Clean the lug terminals on the start solenoid good with a wire brush. You can jump the starter directly from the battery with jumper cables, first just jump the posative directly from the battery to the starter post and see if she cranks good? If not add the neg cable directly to the engine close to the starter and try again. Sometimes the battery leads will corrode under the insulation wher it is not visible. Bend the cables end to end looking for weak spots. Where there is high resistance there is always heat check the cables and components to see it they are getting hot.

Can you post some pics ??

There is a procedure in the service manual to check the rectifier. Also have your battery load tested at a parts house.
