"First of all thanks to all on here. I know kind of enjoy troubleshooting my engine issues (when they aren't too expensive)anyways- I acquired a 1967 6 hp johnson, in excellent condition. It sat in a basement for quite a few years before I got it. First thing I did was changed the impeller and changed the lower unit lube. Mixed my 2 gallons of gas 32:1 just to be sure things got lubed good first off. Got it to fire up and it ran like a million bucks. Mixed the remaining 4 gallons i needed to fill the tank 50:1 Put it on the boat and it kept stalling out. It runs great when choked, i unchoke it stalls like i lost all fuel. Any ideas? Replace plugs? Rebuild carb?"
