6702D Got the Ignition dialed in and tanked it,timing light says it perfect on the first mark both cylinders. New points wires condensers plugs. In order to hold a low idle and stay running I need to close the choke a little bit. Once I idle down and the sucking sound starts that's when I have to close choke a little,to me this says that the low speed circuit needs some attention or the packing is non existent or shot,is this the correct assumption to make here? If so,do you guys have a part number for a carb kit to install in her?
Next when I drained the LU only a little water came out with a little gear oil,not nearly enough combined to fill that LU. It shifts fine.I am going to reseal it if the rust I find in there does not look catastrophic.Can I run some ATF in there afterwords for a while to try and clean some of that up,or do you have a better recommendation? Do yall have a part number for the LU seal kit on that pup?
