"Hi guys,
I am hoping someone out here can help me with my tach problem. I have a 1966 merc 110ss. So I looked at the factory manual that came with my boat and it shows a tach connection that was no wired to the tach. So I run a wire all the way to the tach to find out the bolt labeled tach has nothing on it. Yes problem solved... bump the engine a few times and the tach jumps like it is reading what the engine is doing. Go to the lake start the boat and run it and low and behold the tach is not working. Disconnect the wire at the engine and the tach still jumps when you start the engine but once it fires the tach does nothing. Before the wire was put on the tach it would not do anything at all. Does anyone have any idea on how I can get my tach to work so I can tell if my prop is to small like I think it is. this is a 110ss with thunderbolt ignition. any help will be greatly appreciated."
