"First off I am not boat savvy
"First off I am not boat savvy. I recently uncovered our old 1966 outboard. It appears to be in very good shape, prop turns when you pull the starter recoil cord. Have not tried to really start it yet. Oil ports are full and plugs clean light oil in cylinders for storage. Question is the throttle control does not want to move from stop to start, run etc. It is apparently stuck in run. I do not wish to damage this little motor and am wondering if anyone can help with what might be keeping this from moving when everything else appears to be functional and movable.
I hope I have adequately described the problem if not I take admonishment well- tell me what I need to explain better and I will try.
Thanks,"
