"Sitting that length of time, the carburetor is fouled. clean it thoroughly. Be sure to manually clean the two high speed jets located in the center bottom portion of the float chamber.

If electric shift, use Premium Blend gearcase lube, also known as Type C, available at your local dealership.

HiVis 80/90w gearlube is strictly for the mechanical shift engines.

Before purchasing, I suggest checking the compression if possible."

"You can't killem with to much fuel, so make sure it's dual throat caverns that pass for carbs is working or you'll eat 6 gallons faster than you would think possible.

Not sure what the cut off date was for the bottom seal, but it was a brittle carbon ring with a spring and ss rubbing washer held in place with a snap ring. Rather easy to break when putting the lower back on. So if running rough on the bottom hole, you may see a problem there. Not a hard job, just need an over head lift.

Funny looking thermostat housing made of bakalite. Don't mess with it as it will break.

2 kinds of ignitions one was long off the back belt and was a magneto. The short one had an oil filled presto lite automotive coil under it. Both ran points. But wired to the key switch exactly backward.

You may want to find a book for this one!"
