I have a 1965 75 hp Chrysler o

I have a 1965 75 hp Chrysler outboard motor that would run on a water hose or in a trash can full of water just fine. When I would put it in the lake it would idle and run in reverse but when in forward it would die. I adjusted the carbs and it now runs but not like it should.

"Andrew, not alot of guys here work on old Chryslers which is probably why you haven't got a response. It's not that you are being avoided - just nobody deals with them anymore.

You are probably going to have to grab yourself an old chrysler manual, do some reading and self-teaching. Alot of techniques etc are same between motors, but you are going to need the exact specs (as to how to initially set the carb up)..."
