I've been on a quest to resurrect a 1961 Johnson 10 hp QD-22.
I have replaced both coils, (Wondering what causes the plastic coating to disintegrate.)
Rebuilt the carburetor, Replaced the fuel pump and the cowl mounts.
I'm trying to synchronize but the images in the Seloc book for a 1961 'type I' carburetor are for a newer 10hp with different linkage.
My cam follower spring is not connected and don't recall and cannot see where it connects under the flywheel.
I might have to pop the flywheel and magneto off again to mount the spring.
It seems like it might be sync'd but it isn't. I have the wrong linkage between the Cam follower lever and the throttle. (Now on order.)
So, although I have response at the throttle plate on acceleration the linkage won't allow Wide open throttle.
There are no decent pictures in the book.
Any help would be great.
