guys i just got a sears 5hp motor

fuel mix? and how do i tune it/adjust the idle?

is there a site i can learn more about the basics to a out board?

"Lou, if your model number is 217.58610 you have an Eska built model. The motor itself is an air-cooled Tecumseh.

While Eska is out of business, engine parts (carb etc) can be obtained from any small engine place that deals with Tecumseh - same parts as their 5 horse lawnmower engines.

You should mix at 24:1, with 2 cycle engine oil (such as used for lawnmowers/chainsaws) - NOT marine TCW3 rated oil."
