"I have a 1959 35 Hp Johnson.
"I have a 1959 35 Hp Johnson. It had apperently been sitting for 4 to 5 years. I replaced the Plugs, Plug Wires and greased up every grease nipple I could find. I tested it in a barrel and all worked better than expected so we took it to the lake, where it fired up with out any problem at all. We did a couple quick 2 or 3 min runs to make sure ure it was staying cool. and decided to take her for a good run, It ran great for 15 minutes then lost all power and would barely idle. I notice there was a bunch of sediment in the collector bowl.
I am thinking it is a fuel/Carb issue but thought i would ask here before tearing it apart.
Any Thoughts?
Mike"
