1957 Johnson AD-11

Hello;

Is there a telltale on a 1957 Johnson ad-11.
When I started with this motor it had been through a flood and half buried in the sand.
It was seized. Now it is running with a lot of work.
I have replaced the impeller.

would I be right to assume that it comes out of the exhaust hole like some other older outboards

now I won't worry about not seeing a stream coming out of the motor
