"I enjoy the forum greatly. However, I was wondering if anyone has a set of control cables that will fit my 1957 18 hp Evinrude. The electric starter and choke works and I was wondering if these cables are still available. Thanks, Ken"
 
"All you need is some 12 Guage

"All you need is some 12 Guage stranded wire, a push-button (for the choke) a two blade key start switch (like on an old snapper) for power, and another push-button (to use as a starter switch) and a wiring diagram ( which you can get, or I have one I can e-mail you) There it is...I've done it many times before on those old engines you can't find a wiring cable for...Thanks...JIM"
