1956 Johnson 10hp carburetor flooding

I rebuilt the carburetor and installed it. The problem I'm having is that when I hook up the gas lines and pressurize the tank, gas starts coming out of the top of the brass tube inside the main body. I checked the float twice to see if it is stuck or something but it is fine. So I'm kind of stuck trying to figure this one out. Any suggestions?

When you operate the primer on the tank it does NOT pressurize the tank.-----You are pumping fuel to fill the carburetor.-----Once motor starts , the crankcase compression puts pressure on the fuel tank in just seconds to keep fuel flowing.-----Revisit your carburetor work.----Might find a U-tube video on that simple carburetor.
