1956 7.5 rpm range to shift

haveing trouble with my 1956 7.5 today it will start in the start position but spits alittle, when i go to lower the rpms in the shift position she dies screwed ss needle in backed out 1 and a half turns and found that sweet spot but still when i get her into the shift position she dies helppp

dont worry about what it says on the handle...just idle it slow,and shift.

I can't just let this go. Let me see if I have this right. Your engine is 54 years old. Is it part of a collection, or do you actually use it?

its a 56 and yes i do use it

i changed plugs today its amazeing what 5.00 will do its purring now

to martino 1 just because there is snow on the roof dont mean there is not a fire in the fireplace as my dad use to say lol
