1956 15HP Fastwin Evinrude Question

This engine has the air/fuel line coming off the tank, my question is how do I take the connection housing at the end of this line apart to replace the 2 o-rings, which have visable wear with the o-rings.... I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem I've had with the motor ever since I've owned it. Starts up perfectly every time, and going at top speed all is great. But in slow waterways (no wake zones) it will stall out unless I continue to repressurize the tank with air. The seal on the tank itself is good.. no leaks there. Thx in advance.

Sorry but you mis-understand how they work !!----------------when you prime the double line tank you fill the carburetor with FUEL, you do not put pressure on the tank with the primer.---------------------When the motor starts it pumps air into the tank to keep the fuel flowing to the motor.-------------Wonderful system.-----------Push the plunger in with a tooth pick , pry out the old o-rings and push in the new ones.
