1955 Johnson seahorse 10hp water leak

I got water leaking from the motor base. where Connects to the lower unit. Is this going to cause a problem? What gasket is it that I need to replace?

That is a metal to metal meeting surface (no gasket). It will eventually seal itself with marine debris etc. If it bothers you, drop the lower unit 1/4" and insert the sealer mentioned below, then retighten the lower unit retaining bolts. That leakage is normal... nothing to be concerned about.
