1954 QD 15 10 hp johnson

motor is still running rough checked inside re-built carb 3 times checked re-buit ignition 3 times. im noticeing black wet gunked up plugs is it possible that the head gasket is leaking water into the spark plugs making it run rough

On a 55 year old motor anything is possible.--------------Compression tested , and have you removed bypass covers ( if equipped ) to inspect pistons and rings ??.
