1954 25 hp big twin

ok, I am missing something here, I got my 1954 25 hp Big Twin started.....yeah! The only question is......um, how do I get it to shut off?????

Either turn the throttle all the way to SLOW, Or pull the choke.

No, the mercury switch has nothing to do with stopping the engine.

Throw in a dead possum (Induction to carb) works down here!

Got to stop then.

Mind you, stopping is always easier than starting these things

The mercury switch is there to prevent starting the motor at high throttle settings especially if you try to start while in gear.
