1948-1951 1.5 hp evinrude

I just enherited a 1.5 hp evinrude (1948 - 1951) model 4425. Doesw anyone know what the oil/gasoline mixture should be? And, I need a carburetor kit for it, anyone know where to get one?

The exact old original mixture, No. But I suspect that somewhere on that engine, you'll see the mixture mentioned. However, a safe mixture would be the 24/1 mixrure which is 1 quart (32oz) of 50/1 oil to 6 gallons of gasoline... 1 pint (16oz) to 3 gal gas... 8oz to 1.5 gal gas. A octane rating of 87 will be fine.

Unlikely you'll find a carburetor kit but parts might still be available somewhere.
