"I'm adding an electric start to my 69 Fastwin and am a little confused as to where the solenoid is mounted. The parts manual shows the solenoid, sleeve and bracket. Replacement solenoids have built in mounting brackets. Did the original mount inside the cowling on the motor? I'm guessing the later solenoids mount outside somewhere in a junction box. Thanks to anyone who can clear this up."
