18hp Evinrude Fastwin Thermostat

My 18hp Evinrude Fastwin doesnt start pumping untill it gets really hot. You have to get it warm then start it again for it to start pumping water. Has anyone else had this problem?

Water should come out with the exhaust relief right after the motor starts up.----Change the impeller and possibly the pump housing too.

I haven't looked at the impeller yet. It seems to pump a lot of water when it's working properly. I will take the housing off and try it.
