"Recently I had my startboard

"Recently I had my startboard engine quit while trolling. The engine prior to this was running okay.
I checked for spark from the coil. Good. Spark at the plugs. None. Replaced, points, condenser, cap, rotar and Wires. Still Will not turn over. Checked for spark at the plugs now. Spark is fine.
When changing the plugs I did notice that they were wet with gas. I figured this may have been from my previous start attempts. However could this be from some other cause?

Additional info: I just purchased this boat about two weeks ago. I don't have much info on th eengine history. The engine has about 375 hrs. The boat sat out of the water for two years before I purchased it.
Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Paul"

"Now that you have Spark,.....

"Now that you have Spark,........ Are the plugs getting Wet,.....
Or are they Dry,..??....

Pour an ounce of Gas down the Carb,+ Try it.......

Is the Timing,+ Wiring Order Right,..??....."

Thanks for your input Bondo. T

Thanks for your input Bondo. The wiring order was wrong. The distributor was turned almost 90 degrees out to get the motor to run.
I straightened out the wiring order and put the distributor back in the same position as the distributor on the the port engine. The motor fired right up.
Two old salts showed up about that time and helped me get the timing in much closer as well as get the idle set.
Again Thanks

Paul
