1878 75hp Lower Shiftr rod

Hi,

I had to replace my water pump and placed the motor in reverse as recommended. At some point when reassembling I must have moved the lower shift shaft and once I had everything put back together the prop will only turns clock wise and clicks. What did I do an and what do I have to do to correct it? Any help on this would be appreciated. That would be 1978 75hp Mariner

You need t drop the leg again and put top and bottom in neutral. Be sure to take all out the slack in the LU by rotating it CCW.
