165 carberator replace

You will at least have to re jet it, the Venturi cluster may also have a different part number not sure if the Venturi is different or what most likely you can search this website via engine serial number and see what parts of the carbs are different. In theory you should be able to make it work but may not be worth the parts required$$$

Fastjeff is right-my mistake. Both 165 and 140 Rochester's use jet kit 1397-3827. I couldn't cross reference the power valve or the venturi cluster as Marine power doesn't give a P/N for the 165 carb.

Sorry for the wild goose chase- when I looked into doing the same with a Mercarb off a 4.3 intending to install it in a 5.0 or 5.7 when repowering- jets and venturi cluster were different part #'s so ultimately just bought a Edelbrock 1409.
