165 6 cylinder timing

Marine engines do not have vacuum advance, it is mechanical and it is under the point mounting plate in the distributor. Make sure the counter weights and springs work and move freely.

I believe the timing should be set to 6-8 degrees before top dead center (BTDC) at 650 rpms

Ayuh,.... If the distributor has a vacuum advance on it, it's an automotive distributor, 'n Don't belong on a boat,....

It's an Explosion hazard,...
 
The shifting interrupt switch has been dis connected, rewired, no longer work, need to rewire and get it to work, work where does the kill wire go to interrupt engine, key switch
 
I have attached a schematic.

One leg of the switch goes to ground
the other goes to the Negative side of the coil.
 
Thanks Much big help one of the wires off the interruptor switch was connected to wire on the alternator voltage regulator ???? thanks
