I have a Johnson 15R75C that is not sparking on one cylinder. What is the best way to trouble shoot whether I have a coil problem, a wire problem or kill swithc issue?

Kill switch works by shorting both sets of points together so unlikely to cause no spark on one cylinder unless one of the wires is shorting to ground ... check that as a possibility.

You have cleaned/checked/ replaced the plugs or swapped them over? Inspected the plug leads? and confirmed no spark from the lead ... not just plug not firing

Inspect the coils. Any signs of cracked or damaged insulation means replace.

Check points are clean and correctly gapped.

If coils look Ok then swapping them over is one way of checking them.
Likewise condensers.

Used a spark tester, so its not the plugs. I will swap the coils and see if the problem follows- good idea.
What is the best way to check for the plug lead itself?

Vics, thanks! Swapped leads on the coil and the problem followed- coils must be good. Guess I need to look at the points next.
