I just picked this ole girl up at a yard sale. I've done some parts shopping online. Doing so I noticed that there is a simular model that has an electric start. My question is weather I can easily change from rope start to electric start on tgis model, before I buy something that will not work.

Easy is relative..so is cost. Ya will need a flywheel, coil, rectifier, mounting pieces, starter, battery and so on.. I would not bother without a donor motor.

Converting that to electric start is easy. If you dont want to charge the battery it will be easier. The start switch on mine was $8. The nuetral safety switch is pricey at around $80. The starter mount is the exhaust cover so you will need that and the flywheel. Then you will need the starter.
