150 opti lower unit

Hello, I just canged my water pump and now I am having trouble getting my lower unit back on . Everything lines up then i get within about a half inch or so and it wont go any further. Any help appreciated thanks

Have a buddy slowly rotate the flywheel by hand while you are trying to mate the unit.

It sounds like your driveshaft splines are not quite in line with the crank...

Hey Buddy my friend had the same problem a couple of day ago. Here's what you have to do. If you took off the lower unit in neutral, reverse or forward that the way it has to go back. So put you trottle in reverse then spin the propeller to the right the propeller should lock. Then put the lower unit on. Good luck.

Thanks for the help. I just had my wife turn the flywheel and it slid right in. Gotta love the computer era. What a great site
