"I have the same engine, a 1968 model#SC-10. Mine has a broken fuel line stop cock that is stuck open. The motor runs fine, but leaks gas like crazy when turned off. I located the leak to two holes directly above where the air intake cowl mounts. Not sure if these are overflow holes or extra air intake holes. Is there something I can do to the carb stop this leak? Or is this just to be expected with a broken stopcock. (any idea where I can get one of these?) Also, does anyone know how to tell if the water pumps on these things are working? Mine sprays a fine mist out of the back, but that's all i can see. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Any idea what this motor may be worth? I see a few examples on ebay and Craig’s list for $100-300."
