15 HP 4 Stroke Mercury Stalling

Hello,
I have a 15 HP 4 stroke Mercury that stalls out after running for one minute. Gasoline leaks from the engine when I pump the primer bulb. Is this normal? I had the carburetor rebuilt last week.

Would a bad fuel tank possibly cause the stalling? The tank has fresh non-ethanol gas. The fuel line is new. Doug

The fuel leaking from the carburetor clearly indicates problems with the float valve.-------------Take it back to the shop that " cleaned / rebuilt " the carburetor.-------In the future when done for the day ,always run fuel out of the carburetor at the launch ramp. That keeps the carburetor clean.

Thanks Racerone. I brought the boat back to the shop. It turned out to be a split in the fuel line going to the fuel filter. Doug
