I going to rebuild my fuel pump and wanted to make sure I am not missing anything, and find out how they work. I removed the pump, from the power head, and did not see a pin or rod to drive the diaphragm of the pump. There was just four holes, two screw holes, one hole for alignment tab on the pump housing and one hole that goes into the power head block. Is there a pin that drives the pump?

On 2 stroke motors a positive pressure pulse and a slight negative pulse drives the diapragm.----You do understand the concept of crankcase compression on a 2 stroke ?
