My friend bought a 140hp Yamah

My friend bought a 140hp Yamaha outboard and we are in the mist about the year model. The numbers do not add up to the model identification guide on this site.
Can anyone confirm the year model? - the following numbers are on the engine: 6F3L450635 and below that 140BETO
