"Hey folks could anyone help with couple of issues im having at the moment.
Run my old 78 140 Rude on the back of an old mid seventies 5m (17ft) half cab with 3/4 of the cockpit covered by a bimini. Prob is I get terrible exhaust fumes wafting thru cock pit and cabin, Would this be due to old motor, or possible unwanted feature of cruising in a an old half cab. not to bad when planing, but still noticable. any assistance would be appreciated thanks."

it made a world of difference on mine---'79 115 johnson.


it idles better and smoother.........lot less smoke--even at start up.

you can also use synthetic 2-stroke oil........penzoil and lucas are the synthetics i use........if i cant find syn and use regular oil there is a noticeable difference at all speeds----especially start up."

1 is a 'blend'
other is 100% syn
i use the 100% syn..less smoke= less carbon,..and CARBON is a killer on 2 strokes.
Decarbon methods,and decarboners,i believe,has been a major benefit to all 2 strokes,if used...
most shops,are doing a decarb,at every tune up,or once a year."
