Okay, so my boat seems to die out when pushing through a wave in the trough. It doew not die completely but loses power and has at one point took me down to 5 mph limping back to port. Having said this my automotive experience is better than average but my marine experience is lacking. I replaced the electric fuel pump, plugs and wires and gapped them to spec. I did notice that the tach went to zero and jumped up after a short time but the engine was still running at about 3500 rpm. Well, I went to wiring and found the last owners rats nest....cut the wired from the mail bundle and removed the extra 7 ft of cable. I rewired it all per the diagrams and now nothing but clicking from the relays on both ignition and trim/tilt up/down. The starter will still engage when voltage is directly applied to both the starter and the solinoid but not enough to start the motor. The motor is not siezed up and operates freely. Im about to go to the pros but would like to get some new goodies for the boat instead so any help woyld be appriciated
