I have a 1998 135 optimax the bore on the block is 3.500 can someone tell me if this is standard or what it is? and why is the pistons in a 135 opimax bigger then the one in the 1996 150 blackmax?

"LB, yes the bore size of the

"LB, yes the bore size of the 135 Opti is 3.501 (standard). The 115 thru 175 Opti's all use the same block which is a 2.5 litre.

A 1996 Blackmax 135/150 is based on a 2 litre block so the bore is 3.125 (standard)

- however there is also other versions of the 150's, same vintage. The 150/175/200 XRI's/Magnums and Pro Max's used the 2.5 litre block so they also had a standard bore of 3.501

So it just depends which powerhead you have...."
