"Hi All,I`ve got another question for a yamaha tech.I`m replacing water pumps and the base plate under impeller is contacting rubber damper seal which may distort base plate.Can i trim front edge of seal,or does it need replacing?What does this damper-seal do anyway?Thanks for any help.James"
