125 Mercury 2 Stroke Not Charging Battery

I have a 125 Mercury 2 Stroke (I believe a 2001-It's red on black) that I took out a few weeks ago and after about 4 hours of trolling and running and gunning, the battery started to lose it's charge. What causes this and how easy and cheap(or expensive it will be). The Battery is only six months old. The Tach is working fine.
 
The rectifier ay be shot. You need to test the two yellow wires coming from the stator with a meter and see how many AC volts you're getting between them. Then test the '+' terminal of the rectifier to ground and see what DC volts are coming out.
