"I have an '87 120 that was on a 17' Wellcraft and is now on a 19' Baja (max hp 185). Can I do anything to make this V4 looper push some more hp or am I better off trying to find another engine? It will currently do about 36 mph at 5600 rpm. I am looking to add some pitch to the prop to get into the below 5500 range and a little top end speed, but would like to see if I can re-carb for more power and then do a prop to match. Do I have any options with the v4 or should I be looking for a v6."

"Same carbs just Jets , throttle body because of the size of butterflies(2 screws vrs 3) and reeds (4 petals vrs 6 )
