1194 Mariner 225 EFI Spitting

Sorry, 1994, Recently my 225 EFI has begun what sounds like spitting and coughing as I apply the gas. I have had bleed line problems in the past and am wondering if they are not attached properly or even if this would make a difference. Thanks for you help
