115hp Tower of Power - no spark on 1,3,5 New switch boxes still nothing, help?

Okay so what I have is an 83 tower of power on our little fishing boat here for the local lake

Would run like garbage. Found that 1/3/5 no spark

Replaced the switch boxes, still same issue

I have eliminated the tilt switch, I have checked the bias voltages between the two and checks okay with varying RPM
Anyway, I know nothing

Oh I also checked the stator, switching the leads from box to box and that is okay.


Now what?

Also I have some wiring issues, that is common on these.

First, what is this?

Small round piece with the 2 wires that go to it. It is leaking fuel from the top

I don't work on these straight 6's and have no reference material on them but can tell you the "thing" you have there is the enricher valve (choke).

When you "push to choke" the little solenoid valve in it "opens" and allows fuel to flow directly to the intake (behind the carbs) giving you raw fuel for a cold start.

If it is leaking then 1) your choke will not function properly and 2) it's dangerous - fuel in an enclosed environment (other than the crankcase or cylinder) is never a good thing - a stray spark and boom...
