115ETLG Rebuild

Looking to do a soft rebuild on a 115ETLG. Don't think I need to crack open the "bottom end" or anything but anything thats a wearable, I want to replace/rebuild. So rebuild carbs, fuel pump diaphragm and so on...what should I get? Are there any pre-assembled kits? Upgrades? Engine is all stock and is and has had very little work done to it over the years. Old man and I are taking a two week fishing trip this summer and I want her to be on her best behavior. Right now it won't start unless you shoot half a can of starting fluid down her throat and cold start it and choke it for a bit till she finally pops off. Constant blue smoke and if you leave the engine trimmed up oil starts leaking out of the butterflys. Oh, and the trim piston is leaking and the engine will slowly drop over a handful of hours.

Absolutely any and all advice is appreciated. I am pretty mechanically inclined but admittedly don't know a ton about carbs.

It is a 1988?-----It should have had a new water pump impeller about every 5 years.-------There is not much that goes wrong with carburetors.-----Was motor stored with fuel left in the carburetors or were they run dry ?-----Load test the battery.-----Inspect the starter motor.----Carburetor repair kit is $36 , need 2 of them.----Water pump kit is $78.----Check operation of choke / primer.

Sure is. It needs a new impeller for sure. Like I said oil leaks out of the carb butterflys when trimmed up. Were not run dry. Battery is new. Starter is fine, she'll crank all day.
