115 Yamaha

My 2013 115 hp will not start. The last time we had it out it ran great. if I spray starting fuel in the intake, it starts right up

In what country are you located? Here the US Yamaha has not offered a 115 two stroke for many years.

My 115 HP is a 4 stroke

Is the fuel pump running for several seconds when the key is turned to the on position?

And when you say that it starts up using starting fluid does it start and continue to run or does it start and then die?

Yes, when I spray starting fluid. It only runs for a couple seconds.

Sounds fuel supply related.

Do you know what the vapor separator tank is? It has the electric fuel pump inside. Hold your hand on the VST and when the key is turned to the on position you should be able to feel the fuel pump run. Or hear it.

If the fuel pump is inop the motor will not start.
