115 turbojet will not run

was running fine on a new rebu

was running fine on a new rebuild idled arond the lake for 15 mins then beach it for about 30 min then took it for a run got on plane for a few mins then over heat alarm went off so throttled back a shut down waited a few mins then started with the alarm sounding to see if it would cool it turned off then made my to shore with a paddle not far let sit for a while now it back fires through the exhaust only once a while compression all cyl is about 120

"Sounds like classic "didn't torque the flywheel nut sufficiently." (Been there, done that) Probably partially or completely sheared key. You have to really torque the $%^&* out of the nut or it will do this to you."

thank you i will check that tomorrow will let you know what i find also it seems to have a mis fire while it is at a idle any clues new plugs also what would be a good plug to run book tells me champ plugs back in the day i did run champ plugs and not had good luck with them

A somewhat detailed report on what was done on the rebuild will help to diagnose what may be causing the overheat now.Let us know what was done as far as water deflectors and warped heads.
 
it was the key on the flywheel

it was the key on the flywheel hooked up water to the boat ran in my driveway for about 10-15 min at a idle it was on a mis fire but it seemed to clear up. On the rebuild bored 20 over on all cylinders . Motor broke due to a wrist pin clip coming out and did bad damage to the cylinder so had another parts motor so i used that block the heads were good on the first motor. Put the water deflectors back in the correct places there was 4 of them THANKS SO MUCH FOR INFOR will try to put boat in the lake this week
 
ALL aluminums heads warp to so

ALL aluminums heads warp to some degree and should be refinished to be flat.I believe that the deflectors on a " turbo jet " do not stand up to the jet pump pressure and yours will soon cause problems.Put some thing else in there that is solid and not made off rubber.
