"Not difficult, anyone that can use a wrench and a screwdriver can do it, but the lower unit is a bit heavy and can be akward when trying line things back up - nice to have a buddy help - but definately grab yourself a Seloc's manual - it's easy to forget exactly the way something went together

Besides, the 35 bucks potentially saves you hundreds is either an "oops" or labour costs at the local dealer (if you can find one to work on it - the local Merc dealer just changed their sign again this year to read "We no longer work on Motors built BEFORE 1993") - which helps keep me in business
