08 model 50 hp 2 stroke boggs down

motor starts fine and idels perfect. On occassion the motor will bog down at take off. But after throttling up and down for sometimes 3-5 minutes it will run perfect. Had machanic look at it but only did it once for him and he found that the timing was not advanving properly. after a few adjustments and a steep bill i am having the same issue. At the end of my rope. Any suggestions?

Might be a good idea to see if the timing is advancing with a timing light. If the CDI was actually not allowing the timing to advance once and it wasn't replaced it is not going to fix it's self. The other thing that may mess with you is the primestart heater possibly not shutting down enrichment. Does it smoke more than usual?
